For most of human history, the end of the day came with a natural change of light. Modern life has changed that, and we now keep our homes brightly illuminated for hours after sunset, surrounding ourselves with the same artificial light that we use throughout the day.

The science of softer light

Melanopic / Photopic ratio

Light your body reads as candlelight

The M/P ratio measures how strongly a light source stirs the daytime systems of the body. The lower the number, the softer the signal as bedtime approaches.

In Flame Warm mode the Serenity Light measures just 0.099, lower even than candlelight.

    I bought this light as I am a light sleeper and I need a small light near my bed that is not too bright for when I wake in the night . However my dog had 5 puppies and was quite a neurotic mother, she would not stay with the puppies at night and kept hiding in my bed . This light has been a Godsend for us both . I put it on a dim , warm pink all night near the birthing box and she relaxed . It also meant i could very easily check on them without turning on a big light . The quality of the light is wonderful and easy to adjust , turn on and off . I am thinking of buying another one soon . This one is for me . Na'vi Organics are always reliable , there is nothing I have bought from them that has been anything other than excellent.

    The Serenity Light has brought real comfort and joy to this household. Fantastic to have the 3 colour options and capacity to alter brightness. Particularly love the glow of the warm light setting, and ease of tapping to switch on and off. Kept on lowest setting the charge lasts for several days here. It's portable too and often gets carried from downstairs to upstairs at night-time. Might have to buy another at some stage! Would totally recommend.

    I've been looking for a bedside lamp free from blue light for a long time, so was very pleased to discover this. It's easy to use and I like having the option of different types of light. It does need charging more frequently than I anticipated and the charging lead is fairly short. It's also quite bright if you have it in your line of sight, but works well for me next to the bed.
